Jessica Harrington, MD, is responsible for the day to day operations of Broadview Ventures including identification of new opportunities, due diligence, negotiation of deal structure and portfolio company board involvement. She leverages her ten years of clinical experience as a family physician with her Masters in Business degree in settings where fluency in business and medicine is paramount. She has a strong interest in innovative technology and process changes and applying best business practices to the health care arena.
Prior to working with Broadview Jessica spent time in both clinical and business environments within the health care system. She owned and operated her own suburban private family practice for seven years and then spent several years providing consulting expertise related to the commercialization of new technologies within a large academic health center. Jessica received her Masters in Business Administration from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Sloan School of Management in 2007. Areas of focus included finance, entrepreneurship, and management of innovation. She received her Medical Degree from the University of Massachusetts and completed a family medicine internship and residency at Brown University. Her undergraduate degree is from Wellesley College, where she completed her honors thesis in the genetics of retroviruses with Ruth Ruprecht PhD at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute.
